How to Integrate Snowflake with Outdoo

Method 1: Snowflake Data Share (Recommended)

  1. Log into your Outdoo account and go to Integrations → Data Warehouse.
  2. Select Snowflake Data Share.
  3. Provide your Snowflake Account Locator and Cloud Region (e.g. us-east-1).
  4. Outdoo will provision a secure data share and notify you when it’s ready.
  5. In Snowflake, navigate to Data → Shares to accept the share.
  6. Create a database from the share (e.g. CREATE DATABASE OUTDOO_DATA FROM SHARE OUTDOO_ORG.OUTDOO_SHARE;).
  7. Grant access to analytics roles as needed and start querying Outdoo data in real time.

Method 2: Direct JDBC Connection

  1. In Snowflake, create a dedicated database user (e.g. OUTDOO_LOADER) with limited privileges.
  2. Grant it access to a target schema (e.g. OUTDOO_DATA).
  3. In Outdoo, enter your Snowflake hostname, user credentials, and default schema in the integration settings.
  4. Outdoo will push call and deal data into your schema on a continuous basis.
  5. Verify data availability by running queries like SELECT * FROM OUTDOO_DATA.CALLS LIMIT 10;.

Security & Authentication

  • Dedicated Credentials: Use a dedicated Snowflake role/user for Outdoo.
  • Network Access: Whitelist Outdoo’s IP addresses if required by your firewall.
  • Encryption: All connections are encrypted (TLS/HTTPS).
  • Auditing: Monitor activity and rotate credentials periodically for compliance.
