What Is RockED?
RockED is a people development platform built for automotive retail, covering the employee lifecycle from pre-hire and onboarding through upskilling. It was founded by Matthias Stoever, who serves as CEO, and Marco Schnabl.
The product's defining characteristic is format. RockED delivers training as short-form mobile video, a model the company has described as a hybrid between TikTok and Duolingo. That is a genuine point of difference in an industry where most training is either a workshop or a desktop LMS.
The platform claims 11,000+ dealers, 80,000+ learners, 25,000+ certifications issued and over 12 million completions, alongside 180+ courses taught by 50+ automotive experts. Those are company figures and we could not corroborate them independently.
Named customers on their dealership page include Helms Mercedes-Benz, which has a published case study, plus logos for Dahl, Hendrick, Corwin and Cavender Auto Group.
Beyond core courses, RockED runs a 30-day onboarding bootcamp for sales and service, manager development material including meeting templates and leadership journeys, and modular certifications covering areas such as Tire, Brake Sales, Phone Skills, Sales Manager Fundamentals and Service Manager Fundamentals. More recently it has added parts training and Booster, an automated training system aimed at service advisors.
RockED Pricing
| Plan | Price |
|---|---|
| RockED Preview | Free tier giving dealership access at no cost |
| Standard subscription | Not published; quoted after a demo |
| NACAT members | 50% off a full subscription in 2026 |
| FTC Pricing education series | Free to dealerships nationwide |
No pricing appears anywhere on rocked.us, and we could not find a credible third-party figure. Everything routes through "Schedule Demo."
Two things about that are worth naming. First, the free Preview tier is a genuinely low-friction way to evaluate the product, and any dealer shortlisting RockED should take it rather than rely on a demo. Second, the free FTC pricing compliance education series is a well-built acquisition mechanism. The FTC Safeguards Rule requires security awareness training for every employee who touches customer data, so giving that away puts RockED in front of dealers who have a compliance deadline rather than a training budget.
For context on what this market pays elsewhere: Alan Ram's Proactive Training Solutions publishes rooftop plans at $950 to $1,995 per month, and Bradley On Demand publishes $1,495 per rooftop per month for unlimited users. RockED's pricing is likely to be quoted against that band, but that is inference, not a confirmed figure.

The AI Coach row deserves the most attention, because it is the row a buyer comparing roleplay tools actually cares about.
Across RockED's platform page, dealerships page, partner page and the dedicated AI Coach page, the roleplay module is described as "AI-powered roleplays" with "real-time feedback," offering beginner, intermediate and advanced scenarios and producing an evaluation with recommended learning paths. There is no further technical detail published: no rubric structure, no explanation of what is scored, no integration list.

RockED's own AI Coach page carries a "New feature" badge, and the product imagery is three phone screens. Source: rocked.us, captured August 2026.
Two observations from their own page. It is still labelled new, and the interface is a phone. Both are consistent with roleplay having been added on top of a microlearning platform rather than built as a practice environment, which is a reasonable product decision and a real limitation if practice is what you are buying.
What Users Say
We could not find a G2 listing for RockED, which is unusual for a platform claiming this scale, and it means there is no independent review base to check the numbers against.
For comparison, G2's AI Sales Roleplay Tools category lists 67 products, and the automotive-specific entrants in it, including DealSpeak, DealerSpark.Ai, DealerSim, SalesTrainer and Apex Sales Training AI, all show zero reviews. This is a segment where almost nobody has accumulated third-party proof yet.
What RockED does have instead is institutional endorsement, and that is arguably stronger than reviews for this buyer. Which brings us to the part of this review that matters most.
Where RockED Genuinely Wins
Distribution, and it is not close.
RockED reaches dealers through a set of relationships that would take a competitor years to build:
- JM&A Group. After a collaboration engaging roughly 100 dealerships through 2024, RockED rolled out across the JM&A network in the first quarter of 2025. JM&A is part of JM Family Enterprises, whose companies include Southeast Toyota Distributors.
- J.D. Power. The J.D. Power EV Expert Certification program runs on RockED's platform.
- NCM Associates. A strategic partnership announced in June 2025, positioning RockED content as year-round reinforcement between NCM's in-person 20 Group meetings. NCM is the largest 20 Group provider in the US and Canada.
- VINCUE, for in-platform training and certification, plus partner relationships with Dealer Tire, Automotive Mastermind and Impel.
- NACAT, the automotive teachers association, extending reach into the technician education pipeline.
The Impel relationship is particularly instructive: RockED builds training programmes teaching dealers how to use Impel's AI platform. That is a smart wedge, and it points at where this market is going.
The content library is also real. 180+ courses with 50+ named automotive experts is not a thin catalogue, and the mobile-first format genuinely suits a workforce that is not sitting at a desk.
If your requirement is broad knowledge training and certification tracking across a large group, delivered on phones, RockED is a serious option and the partnership network is a legitimate reason to trust it.
Where RockED Falls Short
Completion is the outcome it can prove. Courses, certifications, leaderboards and 12 million completions all measure whether training was consumed. None of it measures whether a specific person can execute a specific conversation, and none of it shows up in a real customer call.
The roleplay is new and undocumented. A module badged "New feature" on the vendor's own site, with no published rubric or scoring detail, is not the same as a purpose-built practice platform. It may become one. Today a buyer cannot evaluate it from public information, which is why the free Preview tier is worth taking.
Nothing touches the systems the work happens in. A service advisor is talking while navigating the DMS, checking coverage and watching handle time. There is no published DMS or CRM integration, so the system half of the job is invisible.
No live-call scoring. Practice and real performance never meet on one rubric, which means the platform cannot demonstrate that training changed behaviour on the drive.
No published pricing and no independent reviews. Both are normal for enterprise automotive software. Together they make independent evaluation harder than it should be.
Is RockED Worth It for a Dealer Group? How Outdoo AI Compares
For knowledge and certification at scale, yes. Genuinely. If you need 200 people across nine states to complete EV certification on their phones, RockED is built for exactly that and we are not.
The question is what happens after the course is completed, and that is a different product.
One scorecard across practice and the real call. Outdoo applies the same scoring framework to roleplay and to live customer conversations, so a fixed operations director can put a rehearsed write-up next to a real one and see whether the coaching landed. RockED has no published live-call scoring, so completion rate is the strongest evidence it can produce. Our unified scoring announcement covers the mechanics.
The system work gets scored too. Outdoo's workflow training has an administrator record the ideal path once inside the real DMS with a browser extension. The advisor then practises the conversation and the lookup together, and Outdoo grades the system run separately: steps completed, order, whether verification preceded disclosure, and time per step. Nothing is rebuilt in an editor, so a DMS change means re-recording a three-minute path.
That catches the failure no conversation-only tool can see. A warm, well-received call where the advisor skipped a required verification step passes on tone and fails on process.
Scenarios from your store, not a library. Outdoo builds roleplay agents from your own calls, transcripts, playbooks and battlecards. A bad call becomes a practice scenario in one click, which means people rehearse the objections your customers actually raise about your inventory in your market.
Third-party proof. Outdoo holds 172 reviews on G2 at 4.6 out of 5. In an automotive training segment where most AI roleplay entrants have none and RockED has no listing we could find, that is worth weighing.
Here is the honest version of the choice. These are not really the same product. RockED teaches and certifies at scale across a large group, and does it on a phone. Outdoo proves capability and measures whether it appears in real customer conversations. A large group could reasonably run both, with RockED carrying knowledge and compliance and Outdoo carrying practice and performance.
If you are being asked in ninety days whether training moved CSI or appointment show rate, completion data will not answer it. Book a demo and bring one recorded service call. We will score it, then build the roleplay out of it while you watch.
Frequently Asked Questions
RockED does not publish pricing, and all plans route through a demo request. A free "RockED Preview" tier gives dealership access at no cost, and NACAT members are offered 50% off a full subscription in 2026.
Yes. The AI Coach module offers beginner, intermediate and advanced scenarios with real-time feedback and an evaluation. As of August 2026 their own page still badges it "New feature," and no rubric or scoring detail is published.
We found no published integration with any DMS or CRM as of August 2026. Ask directly if that is a requirement.
Named customers include Helms Mercedes-Benz, with Dahl, Hendrick, Corwin and Cavender Auto Group shown as customer logos. It also reaches dealers through partnerships with JM&A Group, J.D. Power, NCM Associates, VINCUE, Dealer Tire and Impel.
Not really. It is a microlearning and certification platform that has added a roleplay module. If practice and scoring are the primary purchase, evaluate the AI Coach specifically rather than the platform as a whole, and take the free Preview tier to see it.
